Alta loudspeakers are built by hand and painstakingly refined, model by model, until
they reproduce the realism, balance and dimensionality of both live and studio
recordings.
The proprietary pieces are the ones that matter most. XTL Bass uses
specialized sonic geometry to tune each cabinet like a fine musical instrument.
DampHard, a multi layered, multi density material, keeps the cabinet
free of the resonances that cloud and distort music.
The Extended Transmission Line applies that same geometry to deliver
an accurate, fast and powerful low frequency response.
Michael Levy helped bring CD, DVD, HDTV and Surround Sound technologies to market before
founding Alta Audio. He and a circle of producers, DJs and audio journalists spent
countless nights in New York City’s finest performance spaces, comparing notes on
the voicing of live music. Those notes led to an intentionally limited series of
loudspeakers.
